A woman was reportedly left with ‘major injuries’ after wearing an adult toy during an MRI scan.

The recent medical case has highlighted the severe risks associated with bringing metal objects into MRI procedures, even inadvertently.

It’s said the patient suffered significant injuries after ‘mistakenly’ wearing a s** toy containing metal during an MRI scan.

According to a horrific scan image, the powerful magnetic forces interacted with the metallic core of the toy, causing it to be forcefully drawn through the patient’s body.

This resulted in internal damage to tissues and organs.

The s** toy was marketed as ‘100 percent silicone,’ which the purchaser assumed was safe. However, the hidden metallic core reacted to the MRI’s magnetic field.

Professor Adam Taylor, from Lancaster University, explained to MailOnline that while the toy might have moved at high speed, the claim that it traveled ‘at the speed of sound’ was exaggerated.

He clarified that ‘the speed at which ferromagnetic materials move in an MRI field is proportional to the object’s mass and proximity to the magnetic field.’

While smaller metallic objects like paper clips might reach speeds of 40 mph, larger items are unlikely to achieve such velocities.

Professor Taylor also emphasized the severe potential consequences of such incidents.

Magnetic forces can cause ferromagnetic objects inside the body to move, potentially damaging blood vessels, nerves, or vital organs.

Past cases have demonstrated the dangers, including one involving a man with schizophrenia who had swallowed metal objects, resulting in catastrophic injuries during an MRI.

Health experts have long warned about the risks of bringing metallic objects into an MRI setting.

Medical staff routinely screen patients for items like pacemakers or occupational exposure to metal fragments. However, undisclosed objects, as in this case, can lead to horrific outcomes.

Taylor advised against inserting any objects, including s** toys, before undergoing imaging procedures, noting that they could interfere with the scan or cause harm.

The professor concluded: “Checklists and protocols exist for a reason – to ensure the best possible care and minimize risks.”

The caption warned: “Never wear a b*** plug to your MRI appointment. My god….”

Statistics from the NIH reveal an increasing number of incidents involving objects lodged in the rectum.

Between April 2021 and March 2022, 514 procedures were performed to remove such items, with the majority of cases involving men.

Medical professionals stress the importance of thorough pre-procedure checklists to ensure patient safety.

Ignoring these protocols can lead to delays in diagnosis, repeat imaging, or even emergency surgery.
