Matthew McConaughey And Anne Hathaway Star In Sky Cinema’s Thriller Serenity

The Academy Award-winning duo has teamed up again for Sky Cinema’s new thriller, Serenity.

Sky Cinema has released a brand new clip of their latest original film Serenity, which is brought to us by Academy Award-nominated pair Steven Knight and Greg Shapiro. Directed by Knight and produced by Shapiro, Serenity tells the story of a mysterious fishing boat captain whose past is about to come crashing upon his new life on a Caribbean island.

In the clip released this morning, we catch a glimpse of the moody atmosphere as Karen (Anne Hathaway) offers her ex-husband Baker (Matthew McConaughey) an intriguing proposition regarding her husband.

Truth be told, there’s not a whole lot of action in the clip, but it does pique your interest and set the rest of the film up nicely, and to be honest, anything that has Hathaway and McConaughey on-screen together is good enough for us. The film will also be the second time that Hathaway and McConaughey have teamed up on the screen, with their first collaboration Interstellar wowing audiences back in 2014.

Serenity is the latest Sky Cinema original film and will be released simultaneously in cinemas across the UK and Ireland and on Sky Cinema on March 1 2019. Also joining the relatively small cast lineup is Djimon Hounsou, Diane Lane and Jason Clarke.
