Will Ferrell And Rachel McAdams Star In Eurovision ‘Volcano Man’ Music Video

The coronavirus pandemic has seen plenty of huge live events cancelled or postponed over the last few months and avid fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will know that the spectacularly bonkers live music event was due to happen last weekend.

However, for those of you who feel like you’ve missed out this year, Netflix has got you covered.

It’s just released the first song from the upcoming Will Ferrell comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga, starring Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, as the Icelandic musicians who are given the chance to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The hilarious clip shows both Ferrell and McAdams performing their Eurovision song ‘Volcano Man’ and as parodies go, it’s pretty spot on. In fact, it’s fair to say that if the track was actually being entered into the actual Eurovision Song Contest, it would actually probably do quite well. The track features Ferrell himself on vocals as well as the singer My Marianne.

In the clip we see Ferrell and McAdams dressed as a camp Scandinavian warrior and an Ice Queen respectively, playing keyboards on Volcanoes, running through waterfalls, making snow angels and jumping through fire whilst belting out the lyrics to ‘Volcano Man’. So yeah, it’s peak Eurovision.

Check out the clip below.

The music video to ‘Volcano Man’ is the first clip that’s been released of the film, that arrives on Netflix June 26. The film was originally supposed to be released to coincide with the actual Eurovision Song Contest but has since been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As well as Ferrell and McAdams, the film will also star Pierce Brosnan, Demi Lovato, Dan Stevens and even features the heroic Eurovision commentator and national treasure Graham Norton as himself.

Is anyone else secretly hoping to hear another Pierce Brosnan vocal masterclass after his attempts in the Mamma Mia franchise?

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga will be available to watch on Netflix on June 26.
