Let’s take a look at RuPaul’s most important relationship with his husband, Georges LeBar:

Who is RuPaul’s husband Georges LeBar?

LeBar was born on January 24, 1973, in Australia. This makes him 50 years old.

He’s been in a relationship with RuPaul for over twenty years.

The couple tied the knot in 2017 and the couple now embraces life on a 60,000-acre ranch, known as LeBar Ranch.

The property was passed down to LeBar from his grandfather, who ran a prosperous sheep and cattle business for many years, as per The Guardian.

Unlike the Drag Race judge, LeBar enjoys a life away from the limelight.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, RuPaul said: “He’s so kind and funny. I remember praying, ‘I want a sweet, sensitive man’, and I got an Australian who’s just lovely.”

How did RuPaul and Georges LeBar meet?

RuPaul first met LeBar at a nightclub in 1994. At the time, the star was 34 years old while LeBar was out celebrating his 21st birthday.

It wasn’t until a low-key conversation with Hollywood Today Live in 2017 that the Drag Race judge disclosed their marriage.

The Emmy-winning star commented: “I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday. We got married this year on the anniversary of when we met.

“He doesn’t care about show business at all. He could care less. Most of the time, he’s on the ranch in Wyoming. He has a 60,000-acre ranch – it’s in two states, it’s in South Dakota, too. When I go there, I dress up in Western wear and nobody cares.”

For a long time, the couple hadn’t thought of getting married. However, they eventually decided to tie the knot for practical reasons.

The ‘Sissy That Walk’ singer told Entertainment Tonight: “In light of what’s currently happening in the world today, what’s happening in Washington, we thought ‘You know what? Let’s do it’.

“‘Let’s just do it because there’s too much at stake with our businesses.'”

Is RuPaul in an open marriage?

In an interview with Vanity Fair, RuPaul was asked whether he was in an open relationship with LeBar. In response, he said that they ‘didn’t decide’ on that.

“The hoax is that monogamy is something that can actually happen,” the ‘Kitty Girl’ singer told the publication. “I wouldn’t want to put restraints on the person I love the most on this planet.”

He continued: “Listen if you get something that you cannot resist and that is gonna make you happy, go for it. Because the truth is, I know in my heart of hearts like I’ve ever known anything before, that man loves me more than anything else in this world.”
