Who is Park Hae-Soo and what is his background?
Park Hae-soo, 42, is a South Korean actor who started his career in theatre, playing numerous leading and supporting roles in plays and musicals.
He eventually expanded his career into film and television, achieving his breakthrough with the series Prison Playbook between 2017 and 2018.
He’s also frequently collaborated with Netflix, having starred in Time to Hunt (2020), Yaksha: Ruthless Operations (2022) and Narco-Saints (2022).
Park Hae-soo gained international fame after appearing in Squid Game as Sang Woo. Following his performance, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor spoke of his role and said: “As far as where we drew the inspirations from, the process of analysing the script, along with having many conversations with the director. I tried to draw inspiration from people that are in my life and people I can see around me. We live in such a competitive society, I tried to gain inspiration from them.”
Is Park Hae-Soo married?
The Chimera actor reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in Seoul in January 2019. His wife’s name has not been officially verified.
It’s believed the couple welcomed a son in 2021.
