A woman has faced an intense social media backlash after posting a video of her ‘huge’ Christmas present pile.

The TikToker, known only as Areonna, recently shared a clip of all the gifts and it has now garnered almost 400,000 views.

With Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For You’ playing in the background, the caption reads: “That’s a lot!”

Many people have taken to the comments of the post and slammed the 18-year-old for ‘focusing’ on presents, rather than the ‘true’ meaning of Christmas.

One viewer said: “The focus of Christmas shouldn’t be on all gifts, but on family and spending time together.”

Clearly worked up, another added: “WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF SHOWING ALL OF THESE PRESENTS???? WHY????”

“Wonder if kids know the REAL meaning?” questioned a third.

However, others rushed to the defence of the young mum, with one writing: “If she can afford it then why not?

“It’s nobody’s business telling her she should spend her Christmas and how many things she should buy.”

A second commented: “You’re an amazing momma and human! So happy you can do this! I only wish I could get my stepson just this one more gift I had in mind.

“Happy holidays!”

Chipping in, a third wrote: “I don’t have this many presents for my children but you buy what you can afford.

“Let people do what they want for Christmas. Christ sake.”

A fourth then argued that the presents weren’t just for one person, saying: “Why are people mad, the presents there are probably for a full family and not just one person.”
