A woman has divided TikTokers by claiming a date ‘only bought food for himself,’ despite the fact she ‘didn’t have money’.
The TikToker, who goes by the username @heydiberber, posted a clip of the date, alongside the caption: “Dating in Fresno (a Californian city) be like…”
In the video, she claimed: “On our first date I didn’t have money so he only bought himself food.

The clip has now been viewed over 3.7million times and has received almost 30,000 comments. Users were split in their reaction, with many taking the man’s side.
One said: “This is the one, he’s a king! Why is he going to treat a stranger like a queen on the first date.”
Another added: “Don’t go on a date expecting another man to buy you food, regardless of how he acted that’s so disrespectful.”
“Wait, wait a minute you walked through them doors fully expecting him to pay?” a third questioned.
Two others said: “He shouldn’t go on another one with you again,” and: “He’s been played too many times and not being played again, respect to him.”

Some users thought it was the woman who was in the right.
Pitching in, a person argued: “Real men pay for dinner when going out.”
Another commented: “He is not a gentleman for sure.”
Someone else offered the woman advice, saying: “My dad taught me to pay for myself, that way there’s no expectation except a good conversation.”
