A woman has claimed that she was sacked from her dream job after just 30 minutes due to the tattoos on her neck and hands.
Claire Shepherd, from Swansea, was originally offered the role after a successful phone interview.
However, when she called to ask if it was okay that she had visible inkings, the offer was ‘retracted’.
The 32-year-old told The Sun: “To double-check it was okay I rang [the boss] up, and then she retracted the job offer there and then, saying they wouldn’t be able to employ me.
“I’d had the job for about half an hour.”
Previously, Claire had been employed at B&M. When working there, her body art was apparently never an issue.
Yet when she applied for a similar role elsewhere, she quickly realised that not everybody is as open-minded.
Feeling ‘horrified’ at what had happened, the tattoo lover took to Facebook and shared her story.
She added: “I was so horrified I posted it on Facebook and then it just blew up and the story went everywhere.
“After a couple of days they offered me the job back, but I didn’t take it.”
