A TikToker is being compared to a Smurf after accidentally dyeing her skin blue.

Kinsey Dixon, from America, bought the box hair dye so that she could switch up her locks.

However, it quickly turned into a DIY disaster as it tinted her skin instead.

Sharing a video of the mishap on TikTok, she wrote: “I’m blue dabi dee dabi daa.”

In the clip, which has been viewed a whopping 29.3 million times, the TikToker pans the camera from her feet to the mirror as she looks on in horror at what she’s done.

The TikToker then asks her followers: “Do you think my grandma would notice I dyed my hair?”

Later on, Dixon revealed that she was recommended the dye brand by a friend – who thought they were being helpful.

However, the teen admitted it was her fault that it hadn’t gone to plan.

While washing out the dye, it turns out that the blue was beginning to splash back onto the shower tiling. Keen to not get the bathroom too messy, she began holding onto her hair – which was still in the process of dying – hoping this would avoid getting the colour everywhere.

Sadly, this wasn’t the case and she ended up dying her skin blue to match her new hairdo.

Dixon’s followers, however, thought it was absolutely hilarious and took the opportunity to crack jokes in the comments.

One wrote: “Pack it up Smurfette.”

Another said: “You should do Avatar cosplay.”
