Woman Finds Missing Daffodils In Fridge After Husband Mistakes Them For Spring Onions

Daffodils

A woman found her missing daffodils in the fridge after her husband hilariously mistook them for spring onions.

Helen Newman complained to Asda after she noticed the flowers she had ordered were missing from her delivery and received a refund.

However, it turned out that they had been in her house all along and her partner, Dave, had put them away with the rest of the food shopping.

After realising what had happened, Helen took to Twitter.

She wrote: “Funny story. I ordered some daffs from Asda this week which didn’t turn up so I complained and got a refund.

“Turns out Dave thought they were spring onions and they’ve been in the fridge for the last 3 days.”

Specsavers spotted the post and replied: “See you soon Dave.”

Another person added: “This made me laugh out loud. Bless him!”

However, others didn’t see the funny side and pointed out how ‘dangerous’ it would have been if the flowers had been accidentally eaten.

A Twitter user said: “This is seriously dangerous. My mum and brother once ate daffodil bulbs by mistake thinking they were onions. Both were violently sick for days.

“No stupid jokes about coming out in the spring – please be careful folks.”
