A woman has managed to turn her entire face orange by ‘giving herself a turmeric facial’.
The TikToker, known as Lauren Jay, explained to her followers that the beauty mishap happened because she was trying to make a homemade face mask to battle acne.
However, it didn’t go according to plan.

Discussing the hack, Jay said: “For like the last three weeks, I’ve had really bad skin. I’ve been breaking out in spots all over my face, but mainly across my lip line. And I really don’t want to squeeze them because it’s so so sore.
“So me being me, I’m researching ways to get rid of it and help my skin out. And I come across this DIY turmeric face mask that I could literally go downstairs and make right now in my kitchen. So I did.”
She added: “It’s got benefits for like acne, wrinkles and skin irritation. So I was like yeah let’s go.”
The TikToker then flashed her hand at the camera, revealing that it had turned yellow.
Jay continued: “But the thing is I’ve just applied it to my face and my entire hand has turned yellow.
“When I take this off I’m going to resemble the moon.”
The woman went to wash the mixture off her face and later on, she shared the results with her followers.

To viewers’ amusement, she was left was a luminous orange face and she added that her sister ‘laughed in disgust’ at her error.
Jay hoped that it was a simple mistake and that it would easily be remedied.
She told her followers: “I’m literally going to the supermarket with my dad tonight. I’m really hoping that makeup’s going to cover this.”
Scrubbing her face in defeat, the TikToker sighed: “This is the best it’s going to get.”
