A woman has gone viral after she released a TikTok video explaining how angry she was about a 60-cent pay rise, despite working at this company for seven years.

Karla shared the story through the popular social media app, where she detailed her excitement regarding her pay rise, especially as inflation is rising.

However, she could not believe that the employers were only offering a 60-cent raise, despite the company previously promising their pay would be going up by $2 at a minimum.

In her TikTok video, Karla said: “I get called in on Monday talking about ‘here’s your raise’ and it’s 60 f***ing cents, 60 motherf***ing cents. What the f*** am I supposed to do with that?

“So you mean to tell me, you that inflation is at an all-time high and you gonna gimme 60 cents? Oh no, no, no. You got me f**ked up.”

People in the comment section seemed to relate to Karla and offered support to her.

One viewer commented: “Girl yes. They don’t give a f*** about our loyalty. Go to another company and you’ll be shocked at your much they’re starting at now.”

Another said: “Is a sign from God letting you know its time for something new and better he has clearly made a new path for you.”

Along with these comments, other comments share their own experiences that are similar to Karla’s and provided advice on what they did.

One commented: “Time to move. I learned this too late in my career. Don’t give them seven years. Going elsewhere will give you 15-20% increase.”

The video was a success and currently has almost 49,000 likes on Tik Tok.

Karla has since uploaded a follow-up video, where she comically reenacts the moment she got told about her raise.
