A woman has been urged to leave her boyfriend after she shared footage of him playing with her dog.

One TikTok user shared with her followers a video that she thought was a harmless, funny interaction between her pup and partner.

However many people in the comments have warned her it’s anything but, and are urging her to leave her relationship because of it.

Dog videos are very popular on the social media platform, with #DogsOfTikTok having over 237.9 billion views, as per Every Paw.

Some users have even been able to capitalize off their pooches, with some popular dog TikTok accounts such as Jiffpom, the Pomeranian with 20.7 million followers, and Nala the stomping Golden Retriever with over 5.4 million followers.

It is no surprise that owners love to share their dogs online, as according to Lone Tree Vet they make the most popular pets in the world.

However, user Kesh (@bricksmom) didn’t get the reaction she was hoping for from her followers on her cute dog vid.

In fact, one TikTok user writes: “You need a new man!”

Someone else comments: “Ha, no, if he ain’t treating my dogs like his babies then he gotta go.”

“Break up with him,” a third replies.

“Great huge red flag. He’s not a good man!” a fourth user adds.

The viral video, which now has over 4.8 million views and 277.4 thousand likes, has been controversial among followers.

Many see the funny side to the clip whilst others believe it is a lot more sinister.

Kesh’s video shows her garden captured on an outside camera, with her dog Brick and her partner in the shot.

The video is overlayed with texts saying: “Saw my bf was out playing with my dog today so I checked the cameras to see how it went…”

People in the comments have warned her what the boyfriend does next is a ‘red flag’ and that Kesh should immediately dump him for how he treats the dog.

Some users have run to the man’s defense, one comment says: “Don’t see why people are mad? I’ve said the same thing to mine when he quits playing. Like damn bro, I was having fun.”

Another adds: “Y’all so oversensitive, so you’ve never called your dog a name?”

“So nobody here got that he wanted to play with the dog and the dog didn’t want to play! He is not being mean to the dog!” a third replies.

In the viral video Brick can be seen standing in the garden looking playful, while the boyfriend walks away onto the garden decking, with a rope toy in his hand.

The man reaches a chair and puts the rope over it, as he does so, he calls Brick a ‘d***.’

Many people believe the man is mistreating the dog by not throwing the toy for him and then calling the pet a rude name.

Kesh, after receiving hundreds of hate comments targeted towards her boyfriend posted a part two follow-up video, which she captioned: “They’re literally best friends, sorry to disappoint.”

She has text on the screen saying: “For everyone saying I should leave my bf for calling my dog a d***…”

The part two video is a montage of pictures with the dog and boyfriend playing together and cuddling – it seems fair to say that the boyfriend clearly loves the dog.

Kesh even includes videos of her partner throwing toys for the dog while Brick is retrieving them.

She ends the second video confirming that, yes sometimes her dog can be a ‘d***.’
