A new job has launched in which you could be paid an astounding £4,000 for wearing slippers all day – it sounds like the dream job!
Sleep and loungewear firm Bedroom Athletics has posted a job in which one very lucky applicant could win the job role of testing slippers for 12 hours a day.
For £333.33 a month, or £4,000 a year, you could have the job that requires pretty much no effort. All you need to do is give some feedback to the brand about the slippers!
If you make the cut, you should receive a range of the brand’s slippers that could vary from the classic faux fur slipper boots or even some memory foam slippers.
During a 24 hour period, you will need to wear the slippers for 12 hours, now, that isn’t too demanding. The applicant who takes on the role will be required to review the items and give ratings. By the end of the year, you’re bound to be a slipper expert.
Howard Wetter, director of Bedroom Athletics said: “Being paid to do nothing but wear slippers all day might seem like a fairly trivial job, but it’s extremely important to us here that our products are of optimum comfort for those choosing to order from our website.
“We, therefore, believe that welcoming an official brand tester to our team will be invaluable in gaining insight and feedback for the continual improvement of our slippers.”
In case you’re wondering, after the year of trialing out a selection of the brand’s slippers, you will get to keep them.
The retailer’s website states the brand is searching for someone to test out its range of autumn/winter slippers and provide some valuable feedback.
The website description of the job role says: “Do you love a new pair of fluffy slippers? Do you spend a lot of time at home? Would you like to be paid for giving us some feedback on our new Autumn/Winter range?
“If you’ve answered yes to any of the above, then you’re in luck! We’re currently recruiting for the newly created role of ‘Slipper Tester’ to wear our products for a minimum of 12 hours a day.
“As well as receiving gifted products to test out and give extensive feedback on, you will be paid a salary of £40k (pro-rata) for your time and critiques.”
Before applying, it is advised you check out the brand’s website and read any information that may be of relevance. In 1,000 words, you will also need to explain why you would make the perfect person for this role.
