Zoë Kravitz is under fire over her response to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.
The Batman star took to Instagram earlier this week and said that the 94th Academy Awards has become a place where guests are now ‘assaulting people on stage’.
Over in the comments, she reportedly said ‘nope’ when someone then asked whether she supported the King Richard actor ‘defending’ his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

After hearing her thoughts on the issue, many people took to Twitter and argued that the 33-year-old should keep quiet due to her own ‘problematic’ history.
When digging into the actress’ past, a 2013 interview with V magazine was found in which she reportedly discussed Smith’s son, Jaden, who was 14 at the time.
She reportedly told the publication: “There were moments that I was hanging out with Jaden and thinking, ‘I can’t believe you’re 14, I have to check myself, like what I say to you’.
“He has so much personality and so much swag, he is so much cooler than I am. And he’s so handsome, I was always like, ‘When you’re older, you know, we’ll hang out… Nope, that’s inappropriate, you’re 14’.”
After the interview resurfaced, one tweeted: “Zoë Kravitz was out here thirsting over a 14-year-old Jaden Smith. WHAT.”
Another added: “You tellin’ me Zoë Kravitz was tryna flirt wit a 14-year-old Jaden Smith yet tried to diss Will Smith on Instagram.”
However, many people have defended the actress, with one writing: “At least Miss Kravitz didn’t slap anybody or assault anybody or use profanities against anybody. I love Miss Kravitz she is so rocking cool.”
In agreement, a second commented: “Just stop! She is literally so sweet and she spoke the truth!”
