People have taken to social media to pay tribute to Garinger.
One user says: “Prayers for everyone, especially his mom. I can’t imagine, my heart breaks.”
Another adds: “Heartfelt condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.”
“How sad and absolutely horrible. His poor mom and family,” a third person pens.

Someone else writes: “Omg terrible, praying for the family.”
According to his obituary, Garinger, who was also known as ‘Squishy’, was described as a ‘military brat who touched lives all around the country’ and his ‘kind and generous nature’ was adored by everyone who knew him.
“Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest,” the obituary reads. “He enjoyed driving RC cars, sky diving, shark diving, dirt bikes, flying his drone, driving ATVs, surfing, and spending time in the ocean.
“His adventurous spirit and love for excitement were evident in all aspects of his life.”
The 20-year-old passed away on February 28 at his home in Boone, North Carolina, as reported by The US Sun.
His mother, Mary Hobbs, 40, confirmed the news to the outlet and shared how the tragic incident occurred while he was moving an ATV – another term for a quad bike.
“I was with him when it happened,” she recalled. “He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to the next for me, so I could back into park.
“He pulled [in] front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud.”
She went on to say that the ATV flipped and devastatingly ‘crushed’ his skull.
The pair had just gotten home from a car dealership, where they were looking for a vehicle for Garinger so he could visit Selena and their two daughters in Colorado – which is where she lives.

A service to honour Garinger’s life will be held on March 2.
Garinger is survived by his daughters, his mother and his sisters, Shania, Lydia, Isabella, Ember, Kayden and Casslyn, as per his obituary.
