Angela White says her dad knew he couldn’t stop her from joining the adult film industry.
White, 37, joined the industry soon after turning 18 and has gone on to become one of the biggest names in the business.
The Australian also boasts one of the biggest and most lucrative followings on OFs.
Now, she’s opened up about how her parents reacted to her job.

White has been very vocal about her desire to join the industry and knew what she wanted to do from a young age.
She says that her family initially found it ‘tough’ to accept that she was going into p*** and that her mum was particularly ‘worried’.
White told 7News: “I was never shunned by my family, I was never rejected by my family, but my mum particularly was worried when I told her.”

She added that her mum’s worries stemmed from the ‘stereotypes’ that surround the industry.
And while her mother aired her concerns, White’s father took a more measured approach.
“When I told him, he didn’t really have much of a reaction,” she said.
“Maybe he had an inkling that it was what I was gonna do, or maybe knew he wouldn’t be able to stop me anyway if he had reacted negatively.”
White says she’s known from the age of 14 what she wanted to do and has now starred in more than 90 adult films.
She also says she had a long time to make sure that she was making the right decision.
White says: “It was actually great because I had four years to really think about the pros and cons, whether it was actually what I wanted to do.
“I did a lot of research during that time – that kind of market research is very fun.”
White says that she was well-known for her ‘expressing and exploring’ her s**uality while in high school.
So, for her former classmates, it was no great surprise that she had gone into the business.
She explains: “People in my high school were not surprised at all when I started doing p***.”
White says that despite spending most of her time as the centre of attention – she prefers to go about her day-to-day life with little fuss or attention.

‘I’m actually really shy off camera,” she laughed. “It’s kind of a double-edged sword.
“I don’t really want that much attention in public.
“I just want to do my grocery shopping without someone looking at me weirdly when I’m looking at the zucchinis, because I really am just wanting to make food at home.
“I’m not doing anything crazy with them.”
White – who produces, directs and stars in her videos – has an honours degree in gender studies and once wrote an ’empowering’ thesis on women in the p*** industry.
