Born on October 3, 1911, to Pando Surchev and Paraskeva Surcheva, the blind mystic’s real name was Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova (née Surcheva).
She was born in Bulgaria, in the Balkans, and lived out the majority of her days in the Rupite area of the Belasica mountains.
When she was a child, Baba Vanga was reportedly caught in a tornado and almost died.
After the accident, her eyes were permanently damaged, which is how she believed she began to develop her second sight – looking into the future.
In spite of her passing more than twenty years ago, her predictions have remained relevant to this day.
The seer allegedly predicted Brexit, the Twin Tower attacks and the rise of ISIS, amongst other oddly accurate prophecies.
These also include the Chernobyl disaster, Barack Obama and Donald Trump becoming president.

Well, she first claimed that our solar system could witness a change in planetary orbit.
She also predicted a ‘big country’ will be carrying out biological weapons tests or attacks.
Baba Vanga further foresaw a massive advancement in quantum computing.
Alongside this, she predicted major leaps forward in both genetic testing and IVF.

Baba Vanga died on August 11, 1996, from breast cancer, according to multiple reports.
In the later years of her life, she received many visitors and gifts.
The prophet would offer predictions and readings to her visitors.
She would also ask those who made the pilgrimage to bring her a sugar cube, which she would hold in her hand like a crystal to see their futures.
Baba Vanga’s final message to humanity was heartbreakingly poignant and remains relevant today.
