Angela White has shut down Lana Rhoades after she called for a ban on adult films

White, 37, is a pioneering figure in the industry and has been a part of it for almost 20 years.

While Rhoades, 26, quit the adult film business and has become a podcast host and OFs model.

Since her exit, the 26-year-old has been vocal about the industry and called for it to be made ‘illegal’.

It all started in September 2022, when Rhoades appeared on The Skinny Confidential podcast and shared her criticism regarding the industry.

“I don’t think it’s good for anybody. They should make it illegal,” the former adult star said.

She continued: “I mean, essentially you’re having to have s** with people that you didn’t choose to have s** with, that you might not find attractive, you might actually think that they’re disgusting, and you have to have s** with them because it’s your job.”

Rhoades established herself as a star in the industry when she arrived on the scene at 19 years old.

In the podcast, she elaborated on what it was like to be one of the biggest adult film stars in the world.

Rhoades explained: “I think I’m still no.1 everywhere.

“It’s crazy to make a decision at 19 and become the biggest star in the world without having had any intention of doing so.

“It’s a life sentence. I can’t hide from it, and everywhere I go, there’s someone who’s seen my films. I have to handle it.”

Her criticism of the adult film industry has led to fellow performers speaking out, including White.

In an interview with Sydney Morning Herald, the 37-year-old was asked about Rhoades’ comments.

White responded: “Obviously I disagree with her statement that we should ban p***.

“It’s an industry where women can be empowered to create their own content, be creative with their sexuality and create a financial future for themselves.

“Obviously, I can only speak from my own experiences, but for me, it’s been something that’s been very empowering.”

Despite their disagreement over whether p*** should be legal, they have both previously been openly critical of the conditions within the industry.

Speaking to Man Of Many, White acknowledged that it has a problem when it comes to gender equality.

She said: “If a man goes into p*** and is having s** with a bunch of women, he’s considered a champion. He’s celebrated, but a woman is s***-shamed.

“That myth in and of itself says a lot about our society and culture and how we view women in relation to s**.”

The adult star did acknowledge that things have got better for females, but there is still room for improvement.

White continued: “Women are still being s***-shamed for expressing their s**uality on their own terms, but with the explosion of OFs, I feel like adult entertainment has become a little bit more normalised.”
