Brooklyn Beckham Wedding Guest Reveals What Really Happened After Explosive Claims
Brooklyn Beckham has shared a scathing statement in which he’s claimed his mom, Victoria, ‘hijacked’ his wedding and ‘danced very inappropriately’ – and now a guest has spoken out.
It’s safe to say the internet is truly shaken after Brooklyn released that six-page bombshell statement about David and Victoria, following rumors and speculation about their estranged relationship for some time.
It comes after it was reported earlier this month that the 26-year-old had blocked both his parents and his siblings on Instagram.
He is reported to have also requested that David and Victoria contact him only through legal representatives.
Now, families are complex – they’re not always straightforward.
But while most families are able to deal with their differences in the privacy of their homes, it’s unfortunate for the Beckham’s that their disagreements often play out under intense public scrutiny.
Between a former England football captain and a Spice Girl – it’s easy to see why there might be interest.
In fact, David and Victoria truly gave a new meaning to the term ‘power couple’ in 1997, when the two first started dating.
But now the so-called ‘Beckham brand’ is at risk – and it’s their first-born who’s made it his mission to expose them
When did Brooklyn start to distance himself from the Beckhams?
It was prior to Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s 2022 wedding, when speculation began that things may not look as perfect behind the scenes as they seem on social media.
And Brooklyn’s statement, which left no stone unturned, offered even more insight about the months leading up to the two tying the knot.
In his essay, Brooklyn accused his mom, Victoria, of agreeing to design Nicola’s wedding dress and then pulling out at the last second.
The 26-year-old wrote: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.
“My mum canceled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
It’s not the first time the wedding dress fiasco has been spoken about.
Breaking her silence on the drama in an interview with The Sunday Times in 2022, Nicola said: “It’s not a feud! You know, no family is perfect.
“I think it all started, and I’ve said this before, because I didn’t end up wearing Victoria’s wedding dress.
“But the real truth is, I really, really wanted to wear it and I thought it was so beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom got to make that for me!”
Rumors quietly circulated in the years following that the relationship Brooklyn once had with his parents had broken down.
But it wasn’t until the summer of 2025 that things became seriously public.
In August last year, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows without any Beckham family members present – a move which their first-born son has since explained in his statement.
Brooklyn Beckham blocks his family
When December 2025 rolled around, users online spotted that Brooklyn was no longer following his parents, nor his siblings Cruz and Romeo.
And Cruz, 20, was quick to set the record straight.
After a story was published about David and Victoria unfollowing their first-born, Cruz responded: “NOT TRUE.
“My mom and dad would never unfollow their son, let’s get the facts right.
“They woke up blocked, as did I.”
Brooklyn is reported to have also issued a legal letter to the family, which urged David and Victoria to cease direct contact with Brooklyn.
‘Brooklyn’s doing a Prince Harry’
Following the estrangement, and the similarities between the two narratives, users online are now comparing Brooklyn and Nicola to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
One wrote: “This post by Brooklyn Beckham is absolutely fascinating. There are so many parallels between him and Prince Harry.”
Another added: “Harry and Brooklyn were both spoilt by abundance. Neither declared hatred for their entire family until women came along.”
A third wrote: “Brooklyn’s definitely ‘doing a Harry’ and should expect similar results.”
Brooklyn’s scathing statement
Brooklyn released his statement just 24 hours ago, leaving fans truly open-mouthed.
After keeping extremely quiet about the so-called ‘fued’ for several years, it seems the 26-year-old had reached breaking point.
In the shocking statement, Brooklyn claimed that his parents ‘repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name,’ weeks before his wedding ceremony.
In the essay, Brooklyn added: “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.
“I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.
“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation.
“All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
Victoria Beckham’s alleged ‘inappropriate behavior’
One of the most explosive claims made in the statement, is that his mom, Victoria, ‘hijacked’ the couple’s first dance on their wedding day.
He claimed the romantic dance was planned ‘weeks in advance.’
Brooklyn wrote: “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Speaking on the two renewing their vows just months ago, Brooklyn added: “We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
Wedding guest speaks out
Wedding guest Stavros Agapiou has now spoken out, claiming he also saw Victoria’s ‘inappropriate’ dancing.
Agapiou is the partner of British DJ Fat Tony and was reportedly asked to perform at the reception.
In an Instagram comment, he reportedly stated (via MailOnline): “I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.”
This comment has since been deleted, and Stavros has instead said: “Good on him for finally speaking out!”
Meanwhile, Fat Tony has seemingly chimed in on the matter – he shared a cryptic quote on Instagram reading: “Me as a lawyer. Your honour, I have screenshots.”
David Beckham breaks his silence after Brooklyn’s bombshell claims
Neither David nor Victoria has directly responded to Brooklyn’s claims; however, the former football legend has commented on how his children have ‘made mistakes.’
He said: “I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media… For the good and for the bad.
“What kids can access these days, it can be dangerous. But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.
“I’ve been able to use my platform for my following, for Unicef.”
On CNBC’s Squawk Box, David continued: “And it has been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children.
“And I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them.
“They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids.”
He added: “You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”
