Bruce Willis’ Mum Is ‘Not Sure If Her Son Still Recognises Her’ As ‘Aggressiveness’ Creeps In
Bruce Willis’ mum is ‘not sure’ if her son still recognises her.
The Hollywood star, 67, is best known for starring in blockbuster films like Die Hard and Pulp Fiction.
Last year, he was diagnosed with aphasia, which prompted him to retire from acting.
Aphasia is a serious neurological condition which impacts someone’s ability to understand and produce language.
This diagnosis was recently advanced to ‘untreatable’ frontotemporal dementia.
And while updates on his health have been infrequent, a family member has now updated fans on her son’s declining condition.

Marlene Willis has reportedly spoken out about how difficult it has been to see The Sixth Sense star’s health worsen.
She particularly notes how hard it is for family members to communicate with Willis and believes he no longer recognises her.
Marlene’s cousin, Wilfried Gliem, allegedly tells BILD (via Marca): “She is not sure if her son still recognises her.
“His behaviour is very slow, there is always a slight aggressiveness and it is no longer possible to have a normal conversation with him.

“Although this behaviour is usual in his clinical condition.”
Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, 60, and his current wife, Emma Heming, 44, made news of his illness public in a statement last March.
They said that Willis was experiencing difficulty in talking, structuring sentences and using words that were unfamiliar.
These symptoms, they said, had brought an end to Willis’ acting career.
Earlier this month, the Willis family took to Instagram to share an emotional update on his condition.
They wrote: “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.
“In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.”
They added: “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).

Following the update, Willis’ friends and family want to raise more awareness of frontotemporal dementia.
They say that if Willis was able to, he would want to increase global awareness of the medical condition.
For many years, the iconic actor has used his enormous platform to shed light on pressing issues.
