Gordon Ramsay Opens Up About Cancer Diagnosis And Warns People Of The Signs
Gordon Ramsay has opened up about his cancer diagnosis and has warned others of what to look out for.
The celebrity chef opened up on Instagram to his devoted fans after announcing his cancer diagnosis late last month (August 30).
The post has now received over half a million likes, as he warned others to be aware of the risks.
Well wishes quickly flooded the comments following the news.
One wrote: “Heal quickly, chef, and thank you for bringing awareness to all of us.”
Another shared: “I hope everything is okay, chef. I just lost my mom to cancer. I pray you can stay safe and healthy.”

The 58-year-old revealed that he was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year, and swiftly had an operation to remove it.
The dad-of-four noted that surgeons were able to successfully remove the basal cell carcinoma – a type of non-melanoma skin cancer.
He captioned the post: “Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma.
“Thank you! Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend.
“I promise you it’s not a face lift! I’d need a refund.”

Skin cancer is a very common form of the disease, but medical experts note that most cases are preventable, and linked to UV radiation exposure.
This can be from either the sun, or tanning beds.
Cancer Research also left a comment under the post, which read: “Glad to hear you’re doing well, Gordon, and thanks for raising awareness of how important it is to stay safe in the sun.”
After sharing the signs and symptoms, the TV personality also urged fans to be hyper-aware and conscious of the time they spend in the sun, and the damaging impact it can really have.
Cancer Research added: “Seek shade, cover up, and apply sunscreen regularly and generously.”
Symptoms include a growth on the skin, typically found on body parts that are more exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, and hands, as well as new or changing spots, and sores that don’t heal, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The most common risk factor includes exposure to UV light, but also older age, having pale skin, and having had skin cancer in the past.
