How Adult Star Mia Khalifa Is Related To The Viral Song
Mia Khalifa has become an internet celebrity in recent years – which has often seen her be referenced in pop culture, including a song that went viral on TikTok. So what is the track all about, let’s take a look…
The former adult star appeared in 11 films during her short three-month stint in the adult film industry.
She has made the headlines ever since and has amassed a huge social media following.
But despite her popularity, Khalifa has also found herself being mocked – including in the form of a diss track.

So let’s take a look at the Mia Khalifa song, from who sang it to what it’s about:
Who sings the Mia Khalifa song?
The track was originally titled ‘Hit or Miss’ (or ‘Mia Khalifa Diss’) and it was made by Atlanta rap duo iLOVEFRiDAY – which consists of Xeno Carr and Aqsa Malik (also known as Smoke Hijabi).
It was released in February 2018.
What is the Mia Khalifa song about?
The pair released a song in 2017 called ‘Hate Me’ – in which Malik is seen smoking while wearing a hijab during the music video.
Shortly after the video dropped, a screenshot of a fake tweet, which was believed to be from Khalifa, was posted on Instagram.
It read: “She’s so disrespectful to all Muslim women and gives us a bad image.”
iLOVEFRiDAY saw this statement as hypocritical, as Khalifa famously starred in an adult film while wearing a hijab.
This led to the group releasing a diss track in which they extensively ridiculed the former adult star.
How did the Mia Khalifa song go viral?
The track soon became popular after it became a meme on TikTok – people would go to public spaces to perform the #hitormisschallenge.
They would shout out lyrics from the song ‘Mia Khalifa’ to see if they get a response from other people who would recognise the song and they would carry on the words.

What has Mia Khalifa said about the diss track?
During an appearance on Anthony Padila’s YouTube channel, Khalifa was asked what she thinks about the song.
In response, she said: “I’m gonna be honest with you ’cause I’m a gangster and I don’t really say this too often but it kinda hurt me a little bit… That… just a little bit.”
Khalifa went on to say that it deterred her from joining TikTok.
“I was terrified of it,” she admitted.
The ex-adult star clearly isn’t concerned by this anymore, as she now has a flourishing account on the platform.
