The ‘Annihilate’ rapper can no longer remember his own songs due to a heartbreaking health condition.
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has an illustrious career as a rapper which has seen him win numerous accolades, including four Grammy Awards and multiple BET Hip Hop Awards.
Known for chart-topping hits like ‘Lollipop’, ‘A Milli’, and ‘Got Money’, the 41-year-old has solidified his status as one of the most influential and successful artists in the hip-hop genre.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Lil Wayne admits that he can’t differentiate between his albums, including ‘Tha Carter III’, ‘Tha Carter II’, ‘Tha Carter I’, and ‘Tha Carter IV’.
He explains: “And that’s just my God’s honest truth. You could lie, you could ask me (about) such and such song, I wouldn’t even know what we talking about.”
This memory loss is attributed to his struggles with epilepsy, which has caused him to experience recurring and unprovoked seizures.
The records that propelled him to fame in the early 2000s hold no significance to him anymore due to his memory loss.
Lil Wayne admits that he couldn’t even recall the release year of ‘Tha Carter III’, one of his biggest albums, which came out in 2008.
He describes his lack of knowledge about his own discography as a curse, believing that while he possesses ‘an amazing mind’, an amazing memory was not granted to him.
Despite this memory impairment, Lil Wayne has no plans to retire anytime soon.
The ‘Mirror’ rapper says that true artists and pioneers never retire; they continue creating music until the end.
He believes retirement would mean stepping away from everything except music, which he says is an inherent part of his being.
The rapper has spoken out about his experience with seizures in the past.
