Supernatural Star Mark Sheppard Brought Back To Life After Six ‘Massive’ Heart Attacks
Supernatural’s Mark Sheppard says he was brought back to life after suffering from a ‘massive’ medical emergency.
Sheppard, 59, is an English actor who is best known for playing the demon/King of Hell Crowley in the hugely popular American TV series.
He’s also had recurring roles in Battlestar Galactica, Leverage and Joss Whedon’s Firefly.
Recently, Sheppard took to social media and revealed to fans that his wife, Sarah Louise Fudge, helped save his life when he went through a near-death experience.
Taking to Instagram, where he has over 1.7 million followers, the actor said: “You’re not going to believe this,” alongside a photo of himself hospitalised.

“Was on my way to an appointment yesterday when I collapsed in my kitchen. Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from dead four times.”
Sheppard says he suffered a ‘widowmaker’ – which is a heart attack that involves a blockage in the biggest artery of your heart, as per Cleveland Clinic.
It means blood can’t move through your left anterior descending (LAD) artery, which provides 50 per cent of your heart muscle’s blood supply. For a chance at survival, immediate treatment is crucial.
Continuing his post, Sheppard added: “If not for my wife, the @losangelesfiredepartment at Mulholland and the incredible staff @providencecalifornia St Joseph’s – I wouldn’t be writing this.
“My chances of survival were virtually nil. I feel great. Humbled once more. Home tomorrow! #spnfamily.”

Sheppard’s friends and fans have taken to the comments and praised the star for his resilience during this difficult time.
His castmate Misha Collins says: “Mark! You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time! Six heart attacks? Two or three would have been impressive enough.
“You’ve impressed us, OK. Now stop with this heal-up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal.”
Felicia Day writes: “Omg Mark I am so glad you’re recovering this is awful! Sending all my love to you and the family.”

While John Barrowman, who co-starred with Sheppard in Doctor Who, comments: “Mark, WTF… if there is anything you need or I can do just let me know.
“I am just a small journey away. Please do all they tell you to make yourself heal and get well.”
He adds: “You are a lovely soul and a lovely man. I am sending you lots of love.”
Sheppard also received a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department’s official Instagram, which reads: “We’re so glad to hear of your outcome and wish you a full and speedy recovery!”
Relieving fans, the actor has shared that he now ‘feels great’ and is on the road to recovery.
Sheppard isn’t the only celebrity to have suffered from a ‘widowmaker’.
Comedian and TV personality Rosie O’Donnell, 61, has also opened up about her experiences with suffering the type of heart attack – which she had over a decade ago.
“I should’ve died,” she said on The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda, as per Fox News.
“It forced me into my body and to be in touch with my body in a way that I never had been. It made me aware of [my] feelings.
“I can kind of dissociate and do the world from my head and just try to use my intellect and not really pay attention to my body, but this forced me to pay attention.”
Since suffering from the ‘widowmaker’, O’Donnell has reportedly adopted a low-fat, whole foods and plant-based diet.
