Ozzy Osbourne has revealed why he has chosen to stop having surgeries in the midst of a health battle.

The ‘Prince Of Darkness’, 74, is best known for being the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath – who are known for hits such as ‘Iron Man’, ‘Paranoid’ and ‘Heaven and Hell’.

The Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer has been open about his health struggles over the years – including a fall in 2019 that aggravated an old spine injury and his Parkinson’s diagnosis.

And now Osbourne has opened up about going under the surgeon’s knife one last time.

The Grammy award-winning singer revealed that he was going to undergo one more surgery to fix his spine injury during a recent episode of his family podcast, The Osbournes Podcast.

This procedure involves correcting spinal damage caused by a late-night fall in 2019, which aggravated an injury he sustained in a quad bike crash in 2003.

The ‘N.I.B.’ singer confirmed that he will not be having any more procedures on his back, saying: “It is gonna be the final surgery, because I can’t do it anymore.

“Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t.”

He then joked that going for surgery now feels like ‘going over for a f***ing haircut’, but did admit that his condition has ‘improved somewhat’.

Osbourne explained: “My feet feel like I’ve got bricks tied to them when I’m walking.

“I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I’ve got diving boots on when I’m walking. I think it’s the nerves.”

He added that he wanted to leave the house to go on a ‘walk around the block’ but was worried about photographers who are ‘waiting to ambush me everywhere’.

Osbourne said: “When they take my photograph, my mouth’s half-open or I’m bent over and it’s like, ‘Ozzy’s on his last legs’.”

The Osbournes star then confirmed that he is ‘far from being on’ his ‘last legs’.

This isn’t the only time Osbourne has shared his plans to stop any further surgery, having discussed the matter on Piers Morgan’s TalkTV.

“I can’t believe I’ve come to the end of it,” he told the ex-Good Morning Britain presenter. “It’s been five years of absolute hell for me and the family.”

Despite his health problems, Osbourne is determined to continue his career in the music industry and has shared plans for a new record.

In an interview with Metal Hammer, he said: “I’ve done two albums fairly recently, but I want to do one more album and then go back on the road.

“I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be recording in the early part of next year. I want to take my time with this one!”
