Pink Slams ‘Hateful’ Post Comparing Her To Eddie Izzard
Pink has taken to social media and slammed the ‘hateful’ comparisons to Eddie Izzard.
The Grammy-winning singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart, has sold over 135 million records worldwide and is one of the world’s bestselling artists.
Izzard, also known as Suzy Izzard, is a British stand-up comedian and activist. Her comedy style is usually made up of whimsical monologues and self-referential pantomime.
The pair are now making headlines as the ‘So What’ singer has been compared to Izzard, 61, while celebrating her 44th birthday.

It all started when someone posted a photo of Izzard on social media alongside the caption: “Happy birthday @Pink.”
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Pink responded: “Thank you so much. I just showed my 12-year-old daughter your post.
“I explained to her that I’ve never met you, I don’t know you, and I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful.
“It was a good lesson in ignorance. Thank you. I still don’t know you. Congrats. You’re no one.”

Pink went on to say that some people are ‘anonymous, lonely and miserable’, adding: “MOST IMPORTANTLY – what a wasted opportunity here.
“There are so many pictures you could’ve chosen that were actually me that were worse than this picture, you nameless f***o. At least be creative next time dum dum.”
The ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ artist then explained that she posts these things so that her kids understand ‘we are all occasionally treated bad’.
“I show them because they know me, and they know that my self-esteem does not rely on the opinions of others. Nor does it rely on how many tickets I sell. Good/bad. Whatever. I love me,” she added.

Izzard – who has used she/her pronouns since 2020 – revealed that she would be adding Suzy to her moniker earlier this year.
The comedian said that she had wanted this name since she was 10 years old.
When speaking at a recording of Matt Forde’s Political Party podcast, Izzard said: “I’m Eddie. There’s another name I’m going to add in as well, which is Suzy, which I wanted to be since I was 10.
“I’m going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard. That’s how I’m gonna roll so people can choose what they want, they can’t make a mistake, they can’t go wrong.”
