Britain’s Got Talent‘s Susan Boyle looks unrecognizable 16 years on from her iconic first audition on the show.
Nearly everyone remembers the iconic moment in 2009 that we were first introduced to the legend that would later become Susan Boyle.
She shot to fame on the British talent show and became somewhat of a national treasure.
But a recent image of the star has gone viral, after fans noticed that she now looks completely unrecognizable from that first audition.
Did Susan Boyle win Britain’s Got Talent?
Boyle auditioned for the show in 2009, and became a viral sensation following her rendition of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from the musical Les Misérables.
The clip now has ver 680 million views on YouTube, and she’s become some what of a household name, particularly in the UK.
Boyle finished as the runner up of the competition, narrowly missing out on first place to dance group Diversity.
Despite missing out on the winning spot, she went on to have a notably successful career.
Her debut album, ‘I Dreamed a Dream,’ which was released in 2009, became the UK’s best-selling debut album of all time.
It also set a record for first-week sales by a debut album.
But her success didn’t stop there.
In 2011, Boyle made UK music history by becoming the first female artist to have three consecutive albums debut at No.1 in less than two years.
What is Susan Boyle doing now?
Following her rise to fame on the talent show, Boyle suffered a minor stroke in 2022.
Returning to the ITV talent show for a guest appearance in 2023, she said: “It feels great (to be here).
“It’s extra special for me, last April I suffered a minor stroke and I fought to be back on stage and I have done it.”
Simon Cowell responded to the star, and said: “We owe you so much. I knew you weren’t well but if anyone was going to come back, you were going to come back.
“It wouldn’t be the same without you.”
What does Susan Boyle look like now?
Earlier last year, the icon wowed onlookers when she debuted a brand new look on the red carpet for the Pride of Scotland Awards.
The star sported a pale pink jumpsuit completed with feather sleeves, and her hair was styled in a sleek bob with a new fringe.
The look is far from when the nation first fell in love with Boyle during her first audition on BGT.
Speaking on the red carpet, she said: “I feel so honoured to be here.
“This is an incredible evening celebrating extraordinary people who deserve special recognition. Anyone going above and beyond should be applauded.”
