Tori Bowie’s Cause Of Death Confirmed
Tori Bowie’s cause of death has been confirmed.
Bowie, 32, was a renowned American track and field athlete who specialised in the long jump, 100m and 200m events.
The sportswoman achieved great success by winning a gold medal as part of the USA’s 4x100m relay team at the 2016 Olympics.
Her impressive campaign continued with a silver medal in the 100m dash and a bronze medal in the 200m race.
She became world champion in the 100m event in 2017.
Following her tragic death last month, Bowie’s cause of death has now been revealed.

Bowie tragically passed away in her home due to complications from childbirth, as confirmed by an autopsy report obtained by USA Today Sports.
The athlete was found dead at her residence in Orlando, Florida, in May after authorities conducted a well-being check.
The report revealed that Bowie was eight months pregnant and in the process of giving birth when she passed away, with possible causes of death including respiratory distress and eclampsia.
Eclampsia is when a person with preeclampsia develops seizures during pregnancy.
Upon learning of the autopsy findings, broadcaster BET highlighted the challenges faced by Black women during pregnancy in America.

They wrote on Twitter: “Black women die at exceedingly higher rates due to pregnancy-related complications.
“We face a much higher risk of maternal death due to various reasons including chronic stress and implicit bias from healthcare providers.
“There is so much work to be done to properly protect and advocate for Black women’s health.”
Tori Bowie had a remarkable career as an athlete, winning three gold medals on the global stage for the United States.
In the 2016 Olympics, she was part of the USA 4x100m relay team that secured a gold medal.
The following year, Bowie achieved further success by winning another relay gold at the World Athletics Championships in London.
She then clinched an individual gold in the 100m event with a thrilling photo-finish victory over Marie-Josée Ta Lou from Ivory Coast.
Born and raised in Mississippi, Bowie initially excelled in basketball before her talent for track and field became evident.
As a girl, she won state titles in the 100m, 200m, and long jump.
Her Olympic journey also included winning a silver and bronze medal in the 100m and 200m events respectively at the Rio Games in 2016.

Apart from her sporting achievements, Bowie had been studying music at Full Sail University and was involved in working with underprivileged children.
Following Bowie’s untimely death, her teammates and fellow athletes expressed their deep respect and admiration for her as an exceptional competitor.
English Gardner, her teammate from the USA, conveyed her profound appreciation for Bowie’s remarkable athletic abilities and the spirit she possessed.
She told The Guardian: “I wish you could feel how much respect I have for Tori Bowie.
“I wish you could feel how amazing of a competitor she was.”
