Travis Kelce’s Ex Sends Brutal Warning To Taylor Swift
With Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce set to tie the knot this weekend, the Kansas City Chief star’s ex has offered up a brutal warning to his soon-to-be wife.
The loved up couple sent fans into a frenzy when they announced they were engaged, after Kelce proposed in August 2025.
The Cruel Summer singer revealed the happy news with the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The pair have been romantically linked since July 2023, when speculation about their relationship first began while Swift was in the middle of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Although their romance appeared to take off quickly, Kelce had actually been trying to get Swift’s attention long before they officially started dating.
The NFL star famously attempted several times to pass along his phone number before eventually succeeding by leaving it for her during one of her Kansas City performances.
Kelce later recounted the story on his podcast, explaining that the two began spending time together not long afterward.
Their relationship became public when Swift attended one of his Kansas City Chiefs games alongside his mother, sending fans into overdrive.
Since then, the couple have become one of the world’s most high-profile celebrity pairings, regularly showing up to support one another at football games, concerts, award shows, and other major events.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce expected to marry this weekend
Although Swift and Kelce have kept the details of their wedding plans largely under wraps, multiple major outlets have reported that the celebrations are expected to take place in New York City during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, with the ceremony reportedly scheduled for today, July 3.
According to the reports, the couple have privately secured Madison Square Garden in Manhattan as the venue.
Speculation intensified after permits were reportedly submitted for street closures nearby and hotel accommodations were reserved for NFL guests.
City officials have also confirmed that a large private event is set to be held at the venue over the holiday weekend.
Another ex reflected positively on their relationship
Not all of Kelce’s former partners have spoken negatively about him following his relationship with Swift.
Influencer Kayla Nicole dated the NFL star for around five years before the pair ended their relationship in 2022.
During their time together, they were even engaged before ultimately deciding to go their separate ways.
Since the breakup, Nicole has generally spoken about the relationship with maturity and kindness.
During an Instagram Q&A, Nicole wrote: “People are sometimes only meant to be part of your life for a season.
“Give yourself time and permission to grieve because losing a bond can be heartbreaking.”
She later explained in an interview with People that maintaining boundaries has become important to her.
“Publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is. The love is still there,” she said.
Maya Benberry’s warning for Taylor Swift
Another of Kelce’s ex-girlfriends, however, had a very different response after hearing about the engagement.
Maya Benberry, who met the Chiefs tight end during the 2016 reality dating series Catching Kelce, shared a blunt assessment of her former partner while speaking with the Daily Mail.
The show famously saw 50 women from all 50 states compete for Kelce’s affection. Looking back, the football star has since described appearing on the series as the “worst thing he ever did.”
Benberry, meanwhile, has remained highly critical of her former boyfriend.
She accused Kelce of being a “cheating narcissist” and claimed she did not believe he would ever truly change.
Addressing Swift directly, she warned: “Only time will tell, but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.
“Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit, so I wish her the best of luck, but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart!”
