Demi Lovato has changed pronouns again.

The Camp Rock star, 30, came out as non-binary in 2021 through an announcement on Twitter.

At the time, the ‘Cool For The Summer’ singer identified as they/them.

But now Lovato has changed pronouns once again.

The ‘Heart Attack’ singer revealed that they now use she/her pronouns in an interview with GQ Hype Spain.

The Simply Complicated star explained that she found it ‘exhausting’ telling people why she identified as they/them.

Lovato told the publisher: “I constantly had to educate people and explain why I identified with those pronouns. It was absolutely exhausting.

“I just got tired. But for that very reason, I know that it is important to continue spreading the word.”

She also spoke about wishing there were more gender-neutral spaces available – as well has having more neutral options when filling out documents.

The ’29’ singer continued: “I face this every day. For example, in public toilets. Having to access the women’s bathroom, even though I don’t completely identify with it.

“Or it also happens when filling out forms, such as government documents or any other where you have to specify your gender.

“You only have two options, male and female, and I feel like none of that makes sense to me.

“I see myself conditioned to choose a woman because there are no more. I think this has to change. Hopefully, with time there will be more options.”

This is not the first time that Lovato has spoken about using female pronouns once again.

Last year, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer appeared on the Sprout podcast where she admitted that she has adopted she/her again.

“Especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy so that when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said ‘women’ and ‘men’,” Lovato added.

The Princess Protection Program star also mentioned at the time that she made the change because she was ‘feeling more feminine’.

During her podcast appearance, Lovato addressed how she deals with people accidentally using the wrong pronoun when identifying her.

Previously, Lovato admitted that she initially held back from coming out as non-binary as she feared that she would be ‘placed in a box’.

The ‘Confident’ singer added that society needs to be more accepting of differences and not ‘exclude’ people, no matter how they identify themselves.

She said: “When I realised that, I thought, ‘What are the ways that the patriarchy has been holding me back?’.

“And for me, it was putting me in a box telling [me], ‘You are a female, this is what you’re supposed to like, this is what you’re supposed to do, don’t dream bigger and don’t speak louder’.”
