The ‘Shape of You’ singer has opened up about the time he lost his vision after smoking marijuana with Snoop Dogg.
Ed Sheeran, 32, is an English singer-songwriter who has sold more than 150 million records worldwide – making him one of the bestselling artists of all time.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is an American rapper who is best known for the tracks ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, ‘Young, Wild & Free’ and ‘Beautiful’.
The icons got together once – along with Australian actor Russell Crowe – at one of Sheeran’s shows in Melbourne.
And now Sheeran has opened up about the experience, revealing that he had always wanted to light up with the rapper but when he did, it didn’t go according to plan.

During the ‘Perfect’ artist’s appearance on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, Sheeran recalled that he smoked pot with Snoop Dogg even though he doesn’t ‘really smoke at all’.
He said: “I’ve sort of got quite close friends with Russell Crowe over the years and he is really close with Snoop Dogg. I don’t really smoke at all but I was in the dressing room and they were just like blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt.
“I was like, I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg.
“He was like ‘Do you want some?’ so I have a bit and I was like, I don’t feel too bad, this is good. Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more.
“I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now’.”
Instagram footage of their meeting shows that Snoop Dogg – who is well-known for his love of cannabis – is seen sitting between the two men while over on the table, there’s a glass jar of green herbs.
The ‘Gin and Juice’ rapper lives in California, where the use of recreational marijuana is legal.
Ever since 2016, Snoop Dogg has had a full-time joint roller employed.

The employee, who is known simply as Renegade Piranha, appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show and alleged that during her time working for the rapper, she’s rolled more than 450,000 joints.
“I calculate it at over 450,000. I do about half a pound a day, which is 75 to 150 joints,” she claimed, as per Mixmag.

In response to these claims, Snoop Dogg posted a screenshot of the allegations and joked: “The b**** is conning you man.”
He then posted a follow-up video in which shared how much he really smokes – nine burnt roaches can be seen.
It’s captioned: “Stop lying.”
