The Tesla co-founder has welcomed a third child with Canadian singer Grimes and the infant has been revealed to have an unconventional name.
Elon Musk, 52, is a prominent business and marketing genius who has taken over the world as a successful investor.
While Grimes – whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher – is a musician who is known to incorporate electronic, hip-hop and rock into her songs.
The pair have previously revealed that they share two children: a son named X Æ A-12 and a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl.
It has now been disclosed that the two have welcomed another child – who also has an unusual name.
Musk’s biography reveals that he and Grimes have welcomed a baby boy ‘named Techno Mechanicus’, who is affectionately referred to as Tau – as per The New York Times.
The word tau carries various meanings, including the 19th letter of the Greek alphabet, the 19th star in a constellation and it is also a type of unstable subatomic particle.
At the time of writing, the infant’s age has not been disclosed.
Musk dated Grimes for about three years, with the pair semi-splitting in March 2022. However, it is believed the pair remain on close terms.
In an interview with Vanity Fair back in 2022, Grimes shared that she ‘always wanted at least three or four’ children with Musk.
The ‘Genesis’ singer went on to tell the publication that the two lived in seperate houses and were ‘best friends’.
Later on, she would tweet: “Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now.”

Previously, Musk – who has 11 children – told the Financial Times that he is not opposed to having more kids.
He’s also taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) and sounded his alarm for the ‘underpopulation crisis’.
Musk previously tweeted: “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilisation faces by far.”
