Emily Ratajkowski has announced the birth of her baby, who she has decided to raise gender-neutral.
The ‘Blurred Lines’ star, 29, revealed that she was expecting her first child in the October issue of Vogue magazine.
In the announcement, Ratajkowski penned an essay in which she said that she and her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, will be raising their infant gender-neutral.

The written piece read: “When my husband and I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always ‘Do you know what you want?’.
“We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.
“Everyone laughs at this. There is a truth to our line, though, one that hints at possibilities that are much more complex than whatever genitalia our child might be born with: the truth that we ultimately have no idea who – rather than what – is growing inside my belly.”
She added: “I don’t like that we force gender-based preconceptions onto people, let alone babies.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Ratajkowski documented her changing body.
Alongside a mirror selfie back in February, she wrote: “Sometimes I feel like Winnie the Pooh in human form, other times like a fertility goddess with a juicy butt.
“I took this on a day where I was feeling the latter. Either way, I know I’m going to miss this bump and those kicks very soon.”

Ratajkowski confirmed the arrival of her first child in an Instagram post, while also revealing the infant’s name.
The model penned: “Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earthside.
“Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”
Celebrity pals of the showbiz couple rushed to congratulate them, with fellow model Bella Hadid writing: “Congratulations sweet family.”
Singer Halsey also commented: “CONGRATULATIONS MAMA!!!”
