House Of The Dragon Star Spent Seven Months Planning Bedroom Scene With Milly Alcock
House of the Dragon star Fabien Frankel has revealed that he spent seven months planning his bedroom scene with co-star Milly Alcock.
The actor, who plays Kingsguard Ser Criston Cole in the Game of Thrones spinoff, told Entertainment Weekly that he was determined that the scene feel truly authentic.
He explained: “It was something we talked about over seven months. It was one of the first things I was very keen to talk about.

“The big thing for me was about it not feeling like another gratuitous, sweat-glistening-off-their-back s** scene, ’cause it’s just not like that. Anyone who’s ever had s** will tell you s** ain’t that beautiful.
“It isn’t some picturesque, amazing thing. It’s awkward, especially when you are young. There’s an uncomfortability that one has to sit in, and there’s a discovery and understanding of each other’s bodies – not to mention the practical side of the whole thing.”

Frankel went on to explain that he, Alcock and director Claire Kilner exchanged texts and phone calls discussing the scene and how to get it just right.
The scene Frankel is referring to is when Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen runs into Ser Criston Cole after an ill-fated night out with her uncle Daemon (played by Matt Smith).
After Rhaenyra and Daemon’s intimate moment – which has been branded ‘disturbing’ by viewers – is quickly put to an end, the princess runs into Ser Criston Cole at the Red Keep.
Snatching his helmet, she then goes on to tease him until he ends up taking a lot more of his armour off.
Throughout the House of the Dragon, there are plenty of intimate scenes between characters and recently, Alcock addressed her brief scene with Matt Smith.

In an interview with The New York Post, the actress said that two extras were ’69-ing for 12 hours’ during filming.
Joking that she and Smith felt ‘overdressed’ on the set, Alcock commented: “There were extras who we had just met who were like, 69-ing for 12 hours.
“It’s pretty gnarly. We felt pretty overdressed because everyone else was nude.”
