Harry Potter Extra Says Dumbledore ‘Spat In Her Face’ In Scene Which Was Cut From Movie
A Harry Potter extra has taken to TikTok and opened up about her ‘career highlights’, which involves the late Michael Gambon accidentally spitting in her face.
The wizarding series, based on the bestselling books by J.K. Rowling, is made up of eight films that have grossed an estimated $7.7 billion worldwide.
The franchise catapulted Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to stardom and over the years, they’ve opened up about their time on set.
But thanks to social media, we also get to hear what it was like for the films’ extras – and one former child star has gone viral with her anecdotes.

Just a day before Gambon’s passing, Samantha Clinch took to TikTok and coincidentally opened up about the time she filmed a cut scene with the late actor.
The former child star was originally cast as an extra but was eventually given the role of Hogwarts student Elouise Midgen.
Clinch claimed that when filming the franchise’s fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Gambon ‘spat in her face’.
Obviously, the incident was accidental and happened to take place because Gambon was standing close to her while delivering an intense line.
“Goblet of Fire there’s a moment where Dumbledore needs to announce that the dementors are coming and obviously this is absolutely terrifying, terrifying news for everyone involved,” Clinch recalled.
“But… Dumbledore being Dumbledore, there’s a lot, a lot at stake for him… Anyway, he comes over to the table that I’m at and puts his hand on my shoulder, looks at me directly in the face and said, ‘The dementors are coming!'”
Clinch explained that at this moment, the unfortunate incident happened – but she added that she now looks back at it fondly.

She added: “Quite literally frothing at the mouth… there was spit everywhere. I might have got it in my eye. Dumbledore spat in my eyes.”
The former child star then joked that Dumbledore may have had ‘one too many butterbeers’, commenting: “Good times. A career highlight, I’d say.”
