James Bond Casting Odds Shaken Up By British Actress
A British actress is shaking up the James Bond casting odds.
Daniel Craig, 55, found international fame after playing the fictional secret agent for five instalments of the film series.
However, the No Time to Die star has parted ways with the character – leaving a slot for one of the most iconic roles open.
In recent months, there has been plenty of speculation over who will take over the role, with casting bosses making their requirements explicitly clear.

Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have said they are eager to find a star who can commit to the role for a decade or more.
Ruling out Luther star Idris Elba, the pair tells Variety: “The thing is, it’s going to be a couple of years off, and when we cast Bond, it’s a 10-12-year commitment.
“So he’s [Elba] probably thinking, ‘Do I really want that thing? not everybody wants to do that. It was hard enough getting [Daniel Craig to do it].”
While on the podcast Girls On Film, Broccoli revealed that she’s open-minded to Bond being non-binary and using they/them pronouns.

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, 30, is believed to be in the running to play Britain’s top spy, as per Edinburgh News.
According to leading global online betting and gaming brand Betway, the Doctor Foster actress has become a popular suggestion following her Tony Award win.
Betway’s Head of PR, Chad Yeomans, says: “We have seen Jodie Comer added to the betting to a market that has been wide open for a number of years now.”
Many James Bond fans are taking to Twitter and sharing their thoughts on Comer possibly taking on the iconic role.
One person pens: “Jodie Comer’s on-screen presence is undeniably captivating. She has a magnetic quality that draws audiences in, and her charisma can hold the attention of viewers in any high-stakes situation.
“Just imagine her commanding the screen as the suave and enigmatic 007.”
