Netflix Confirms Jenna Ortega Is Not Returning To Hit Series As She’s Killed Off In First Trailer
Netflix has dropped a trailer for one of its hit series and it appears Jenna Ortega will not be returning.
Ortega, 21, is one of Hollywood’s rising stars – she began her career as a child in the comedy-drama series Jane the Virgin.
She’s since gone on to appear in numerous movies and TV shows, including Wednesday.

Wednesday, which follows Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family, catapulted Ortega to stardom and made records on Netflix.
While it may have been obvious that a series attached to the likes of Tim Burton would be a success, the actress says the outcome left her ‘very confused emotionally’.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Ortega discussed adjusting to her new level of fame, saying she ‘didn’t know what to say or do’.
“I have been doing this for 12 years. It’s weird to look back on all the experiences that I’ve had doing the job that I do. And then to be here now is … I don’t know, I feel like it’s some sort of sick prank,” the 21-year-old told the publication.
The Miller’s Girl star would say her success has almost become an out-of-body experience.
“Everything that’s happened — it almost feels like another person that people are talking about,” she explained.
“I don’t feel attached to my name at all, or people’s perception of my name.”
Ortega’s success in Wednesday has led to her landing further roles – she’s set to appear in the highly-anticipated Beetlejuice sequel.
The actress told Vanity Fair she’s glad that Beetlejuice, of all the movies and TV shows to be considered for a reboot, has been chosen.
“I feel like studios nowadays, of course, they want people in seats and you’ve got to do reboots or sequels or things like that to get people entwined, but to bring Beetlejuice back – of all of the stories – is so good because people need to revisit weird, strange, off-putting stories again,” she explained.
Among Ortega’s numerous projects, one appears to have come to a halt – a trailer has dropped and the star has seemingly been killed off.
People have taken to social media and shared their devastation at the clip, with one writing: “I swear I’m gonna be so mad and I’m gonna hate humans (my own kind) for the rest of my life.”
Another says: “I am actually gonna cry because when I heard she died I shed a tear.”
“I don’t wanna think she dead,” somebody else comments.
A fourth person simply writes: “Oh no.”
Ortega starred in Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous – she voiced the character Brooklyn.
The show, which ran for five seasons, is an animated action-adventure that follows a group of teenage campers scrambling to survive after multiple dinosaurs escape their habitat.
Its sequel, Jurassic World Chaos Theory, will drop soon – and it appears Ortega’s character has been killed off.
The trailer shows Ortega’s Brooklyn seemingly being killed off within the first 10 seconds. Deadline also reports that the star’s name is missing from the show’s voice cast list.
Ortega isn’t the only star not returning to the show – Kenji, originally voiced by Ryan Potter, will now be played by Darren Barnet.
