A popular air fryer brand has been recalled due to fears it could harm users.
Air fryers have absolutely revolutionised our kitchens ever since they first made their way onto the culinary scene.
But they’re not totally foolproof.

People have been left feeling concerned after hearing the announcement.
One reader confirms: “I always clean my air fryer after use. Only takes a quick clean to keep in good and safe condition.”
Another adds: “I loved my air fryer but the fire hazard of it made me so nervous that when my old one bit the dust I never replaced it. They are great little machines though for a quick dinner.”
A third advises: “They need to be moved away from the walls so they have room for air to circulate and unplug all appliances when not in use.”
“Not had an issue with my air fryer, clean it regularly and when in use pull it well away from the wall for circulation. It’s not mensa!!!” adds a fourth.
During investigations, Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) officers found that four air fryers could overheat and cause the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards.
Two air fryer ovens could also overheat, leading to their handy glass door features shattering – potentially posing fire, burn and laceration hazards.
The report states: “The air fryers can overheat, causing the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards. Additionally, the air fryer ovens can overheat and the glass on the door can shatter, posing fire, burn and laceration hazards.”
It goes on: “The firm has received 24 reports of overheating/melting or glass shattering, including six reports of air fryers catching on fire. No injuries or property damage have been reported.”
The six models in question can be returned for a refund.
