A horror series which is ‘too terrifying to finish’ is being branded the scariest show anyone has ever seen.

There have been a number of TV series that have recently sent viewers to social media to discuss how horrifying the programme is.

From Midnight Mass to Gerald’s Game, you’re spoilt for choice when looking for a fright.

But now horror fans have discovered a terrifying new series which is apparently too scary to complete.

The show in question is a sci-fi series that follows residents of a haunted town in the middle of America that traps everyone who enters.

They try to stay alive as they search for a way out, but they are tormented by petrifying creatures from the surrounding forest – as well as discovering secrets hidden in the town.

The show has a stellar cast involving Harold Perrineau (Lost) and Eion Bailey (Ray Donovan), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), David Alpay (The Tudors) and Catalina Sandino Moreno (A Most Violent Year).

The show also has some serious talent working behind the scenes too including the Russo brothers – who are known for directing some of the biggest Marvel films such as Avengers: Endgame and Avengers Infinity War.

Also involved in the making of the show are Jack Bender and Jeff Pinkner who worked on the hugely successful science fiction series Lost.

The show is hugely popular among critics as it boasts an impressive 96 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now it seems that viewers can’t get enough of it and have been hyping it up online.

“I love horror series, but this one is terrifying, scary!” admits one fan.

Someone else adds: “One of the most underrated series I’ve ever watched, absolutely worth the time and investment.”

A third says: “I think it’s the best show I’ve ever seen. I legit hold my breath while watching it.”

“Best horror thriller show I’ve seen in a long time please go watch it,” claims another viewer.

A fifth fan comments: “One of the best shows I’ve seen in recent years and one of the scariest to boot. It takes what Lost did and puts it in a small inescapable town with creepy monsters.”

The show is also critically acclaimed, with Bloody Disgusting’s season two review stating that the series: “Hits the ground running, picking up where the inaugural season left off to compound the mysteries, drama, and relentless horror.”

The third season is set to hit soon, so you have some catching up to do if this sounds like your type of show.

There’s no confirmation just yet on when From season 3 could be released, but the current guess is that it will be around the summer of 2024.

Lead actor Perrineau has been blessing fans with more details from set, answering questions from the Radio Times.

He says: “Everybody keeps asking me about season 3. Season 3 is coming! Trust me, it’s coming. We are working our butts off.”

He also shared on X (formerly known as Twitter): “We started filming Season 3…. So I think you’re good.”

Michael Wright, head of MGM+, confirmed in a statement: “The first two seasons captivated critics and terrified and engaged fans, who have formed a thriving online community that is trying to put the pieces together week by week as the secrets of the nightmarish town — and possibly beyond — are slowly revealed.

“We can’t wait for fans to see the surprises ahead in season three, which promises more scares and mysteries, but also more answers.”

And as for what to expect from season three?

Jack Bender tells Tell-Tale TV: “Every time you feel you can get out that way, bang, you hit the wall of the mirror here, here, here, here, here, and it accumulates and builds to a great crescendo at the end of season 2.

It builds and builds to a really powerful, crazy, climactic end of the season, which is where we’re going to pick up season three. It does get worse; it’s like quicksand.”

The show in question is called FROM.

From is available to watch on NOW TV or Sky Go in the UK.

While in the US it is available to stream through MGM+ – which can be bundled with your Amazon Prime subscription.
