Do you know what Arby’s stands for? Well if you don’t you’re not alone, as people are only just figuring it out.

Let’s dive into the fascinating tale of a fast-food legend that’s been serving up scrumptious sandwiches and sides since the swinging ’60s.

Arby’s is the place where meat craft is celebrated and curly fries reign supreme.

Now, buckle up because you’re about to learn a nugget of info that’ll leave you pondering how you missed it all these years.

You see, Arby’s isn’t just a random combo of letters – oh no, it’s got a story to tell.

Flashback to July 1964 in the humble town of Boardman, Ohio, where two food-loving masterminds, Forrest and Leroy Raffel, decided to flip the fast-food game on its head.

They opened up the doors to their dream venture, a joint that would one day boast over 3,500 restaurants spread across nine countries.

That’s Arby’s for you – a flavour-packed empire with a history as rich as its roast beef.

But wait, rewind. How on earth did this iconic joint land on the quirky name ‘Arby’s’?

Well, this is where the plot thickens and the internet debates light up.

You see, some cunning Reddit users once believed that ‘Arby’s’ was a secret code for ‘roast beef’ – after all, it’s pronounced ‘R B’s’, right?

But here’s the twist. ‘Arby’s’ is actually a tribute to the brilliant minds behind it, the Raffel Brothers.

A clever Reddit user chimed in: “Today I leant the R B in Arby’s doesn’t stand for Roast Beef, it’s short for Raffel Brothers, the restaurant’s founders.”

Another user confessed: “I thought it was ‘R B’s’ or ‘arrr bee’s’.”

Someone else then said: “I worked at Arby’s when I was a teen and I always thought it meant ‘America’s Roast Beef Yes Sir’.”

One genius even named their dog Roast Beef, endearingly referred to as Arby.

“I named my dog Roast Beef and I call her Arby,” they said.

“When people ask about it I say, ‘Like the restaurant’ and people usually are blown away.

“I wait a few seconds and then go ‘Psych! It’s actually for the people who started the chain, but that’s how easy it is to believe completely made-up info.’ It’s often fun.”

“Arby’s Fast Crafted restaurant services feature a unique blend of quick-serve speed combined with the quality and made-for-you care of fast casual.
