James Corden has been banned from the New York restaurant Balthazar after he was accused of being the ‘most abusive customer’ in its history.

The Late Late Show host was called out on Instagram by Keith McNally, the owner of the French eatery.

In one of two posts, he described Corden as a ‘hugely gifted comedian but a tiny cretin of a man’.

McNally continued to call him the ‘most abusive customer’ to his staff in the 25 years Balthazar opened.

He then revealed that he has 86’d the Cinderalla star, which is an American slang term for banning someone from the premises.

Balthazar’s owner then shared two separate manager reports detailing Corden’s behaviour at the restaurant.

The first one is dated back to June earlier when McNally claimed that the Gavin & Stacey star complained about a hair in his meal after finishing his dinner.

The restaurant owner wrote: “Corden was extremely nasty to G, and said: ‘Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way I write any nasty reviews on Yelp or anything like that’.”

The second manager report is from October 9 and the Cats star was out for dinner with his wife.

McNally explained: “Mr Corden’s wife ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad.

“A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, M. K. and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk.

“The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad.

“That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: ‘You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job!’.

“‘Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!’. M.K. was very apologetic and brought G. over to the table.

“He returned the dish, and after that, everything was fine.

“He gave them promo Champagne glasses to smooth things out.

“G. said that Corden was pleasant to him but nasty to the server. M.K. was very shaken but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift.”

McNally then uploaded a second Instagram post explaining that Corden has contacted him and apologised for his behaviour.

He then joked that he would only rescind his ban if Corden let him host The Late Late Show for nine months.

McNally continued: “Anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar.

“So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven.”

Corden has been living in America since 2015 when he started hosting The Late Late Show.

However, earlier this year he announced that he will be stepping down from hosting the popular show once his contract expires.
