Jennifer Aniston has said that there was a male actor on the set of Friends who acted unpleasantly.

The sitcom, which ran from 1994 to 2004, is often regarded as one of the most popular shows of all time.

During its run, it picked up 62 Emmy nominations and won six.

Along with Aniston, the cast included David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry, as six friends who live in New York.

Friends also had a number of guest stars, including Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, Robin Williams, Reese Witherspoon, and Brad Pitt.

However, there was one male actor who appeared on the show who was unpleasant, according to Aniston.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show alongside Kudrow and Cox, the Just Go With It star said: “The funny thing is, that male did apologise about their behaviour years later and just said, ‘I was so nervous, to be honest, that I wasn’t on my best behaviour’.

“It was as if they were just too ‘above’ this to be on a sitcom.”

Aniston went on to recall a time when the mystery guest actor was disinterested in a network run-through.

She added: “And this person would be like, ‘Listen to them, just laughing at their own jokes. So stupid, not even funny’.

“It was just like, ‘What are you doing here? Your attitude, this is not what we’re all about. This is a wonderful, warm place to be, and you’re coming into our home and just s*** on it’.”

Stern then asked the cast if they were talking about Tom Selleck, who had a recurring role as Monica’s much older boyfriend, Dr Richard Burke.

Aniston jokingly confirmed: “It was Tom. You just don’t know how cruel and unusual he is.”

She then corrected herself: “Tom has an angel’s halo over his head, it’s just a permanent halo over Tom’s head.”

This is not the first time that one of the main actors in Friends has spoken out about a guest star’s poor behaviour.

Back in 2017, Kudrow recalled the time she was told she was ‘f***able’ by an actor appearing on the show.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on the US show Watch What Happens Live (via NME) she recalled: “I rehearsed without makeup most of the week, and then on show night I’m in hair and makeup and I was told, ‘Oh wow, NOW you’re’ – can I say it? ‘Now you’re f***able’.”

Kudrow said she went to LeBlanc about the incident as he was ‘like a big brother’ to her.

Despite not revealing the identity of this actor, she did clarify that it was not Charlie Sheen, who appeared in the episode ‘The One With The Chicken Pox’.

Sheen played Phoebe’s navy boyfriend in Season 2.
