Johnny Depp fans have released previously sealed documents on his highly-publicised defamation trial against Amber Heard in an attempt to make the actor look better, however, this has ‘backfired’.

Legal commentator Andrea Burkhart raised over $3,000 to have these records released.

Hoping that it would make Heard look worse, fans believe that they actually reflect poorly on Depp.

As reported by Daily Beast, one file revealed that the Pirates of the Caribbean star wanted to submit nude photos of the actress as evidence, which got denied, and some people believe this is a form of ‘revenge p***’.

Revealed in another document were texts by Depp sent to Marilyn Manson, who is also under investigation for an alleged domestic abuse charge, where the singer describes his case as ‘Amber Heard 2.0’.

People on social media have been posting their reactions to this latest news in this high-profile story.

One person said: “Johnny Depp trying to share ‘revenge p***’ is very on brand for him. Disgusting.”

Someone else commented: “How Johnny Depp Stans paid 3k in the belief that the unsealed documents would make Amber Heard look bad. And yet has revealed so many things about Depp which we would not have known about if Depp Stans weren’t so hellbent on humiliating Amber Heard.”

The records also reveal that Heard admitted to initiating violence when around Depp.

This had led to some people voicing support for the Fantastic Beasts actor, with one person tweeting: “The unsealed legal documents in the Johnny Depp v Amber Heard case are damning. If she were a man she’d be locked up for what she did. Period.”

Their defamation case lasted for six weeks and had people around the world hooked on the trial.

It concluded on May 27, with a verdict being revealed on June 1. 

The jury decided on Depp had won the case, and he was awarded $15million in damages, while Heard was also given $2million in compensation.
