Marvel has reportedly fired Jonathan Majors after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Majors, 34, was one of Hollywood’s emerging actors – having starred in films such as Creed III, The Harder They Fall and Devotion.
He was found guilty of one misdemeanour count of assault and one harassment violation on December 18, as per the New York Post.
The charges against the Marvel star stem from an incident that occurred earlier this year in the backseat of a car with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, 30, in New York City.

Jabbari accused the Creed III actor of an attack inside the vehicle that left her in ‘excruciating’ pain.
She claimed he struck her in the head, twisted her arm behind her back and squeezed her middle finger until it fractured after she accused Majors of texting another woman.
Footage presented in court showed Majors getting out of the vehicle and running through the streets of lower Manhattan as Jabbari chased behind him.
The actor has maintained his innocence since his arrest on March 25, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Majors’ lawyers alleged that Jabbari was the aggressor, claiming that she had flown into a rage after finding a text message on his phone from another woman.
A representative for Marvel has now confirmed to Deadline that the MCU is moving forward.
The movie studio had reportedly been planning on Majors starring as Kang the Conqueror in at least two major movies: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Following his arrest, the actor was dropped from several upcoming projects, including an Otis Redding Biopic and an adaptation of the Walter Mosley novel ‘The Man in My Basement’, as per Time Magazine.

He had already filmed the body-building drama Magazine Dreams – which received extremely positive reviews at Sundance Festival in January 2023 and tipped Majors for an Oscar nomination – but has been left in limbo as distributor Searchlight pulled the film from its release calendar amid the actor’s legal troubles.
He was also dropped by the PR firm The Lede Company and his managers at Entertainment 360.
However, Majors is still represented by WME, but this could change in the future following the verdict.
Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, has said in a statement that the Lovecraft Country actor ‘still has faith in the process’ and ‘is looking forward to clearing his name’.
She said (via Newsweek): “Mr Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months.
“Mr Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”
Majors faces up to one year behind bars at his sentencing on February 6. However, he is more likely to receive a non-jail sentence of probation.
