Julián Figueroa has sadly died aged 27.
The Mexican country singer is known for hits such as ‘Volaré’ and ‘Cómo Olvidar’.
He was in the midst of finishing his first studio album.
Figueroa is also recognised as an actor and has starred in the telenovela (Mexican soap opera) Mi Camino Es Amarte.
Devastatingly, the guild for performers in México – known as ANDI – announced his passing on Sunday night (April 9).

The statement read: “The National Association of Performers communicates the death of member Julián Figueroa.
“[He] has launched various albums like ‘Julián Figueroa y su banda’.
“To his family and friends, our sincerest condolences.”
Figueroa was found dead in his home in México City.
His cause of death is believed to be an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and ventricular fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).

Figueroa was the son of the popular Mexican singer Joan Sebastian – who died in 2015 – and actress Maribel Guardia.
The musician and actor is survived by his wife Ime Garza, six-year-old son José Julián and his siblings; José Manuel, Juliana, Zarelea, Marcelina and Joana.
He is the third of Sebastian’s eight sons to have passed away, following Trigo Figueroa’s murder in 2006 and Juan Sebastián in 2010 – who was also killed.
Guardia has paid tribute to her son in an Instagram post, which has been translated from Spanish to English.
She pens: “It saddens me to announce the passing of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who has unfortunately preceded us in parting from this level.
“He was found unresponsive in his room tonight while I was in the theatre.
“They called 911 and when the ambulance and the police found him already lifeless, without any trace of violence.”
She continues by confirming his cause of death – acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation – and thanking everyone for their thoughts and messages during this time.
Guardia then asks for privacy during this period.

Fans have taken to the comments to pay tribute to the late singer.
One person says: “A very big hug dear Maribel, I can’t imagine what you’re going through, I love you very much and we’re with you!”
Someone else adds: “Stay strong Maribel, you will be in my prayers. I am so sorry, hugs with love.”
“I send you a lot of strength to face this pain so great from here with all my love,” pens a third.
Another person comments: “We are with you, my friend. We are so sorry. Our soul hurts our heart.”

Figueroa’s final Instagram post was on Sunday, in which he paid tribute to his late father – whose 72nd birthday would have been on Saturday.
The picture was a childhood photo of the pair and the translated caption reads: “How slowly 8 years have passed since the day you left time tastes bitter.
“And people proclaim time has to fix everything, but it’s a vile lie every day it hurts more and without fear of hurting liabilities… here they go.
“To hell with the Grammys with the fame and the money cause my only wish is to hold you… one more time.
“I love you dad and if it hurts me your death is because your life was so valuable to me”
