Kim Kardashian resides in an immaculate all-white estate nestled in the Hidden Hills of Los Angeles and guests who visit her must follow a strict set of rules.

The Kardashians star, 41, is a reality TV star and businesswoman who first stepped into the spotlight through her association with Paris Hilton.

She’s gone on to become one of the world’s most influential people and is estimated to be worth a staggering $1.7 billion.

Having such a huge net worth, Kardashian has of course invested in real estate – back in 2014, she and her ex-husband rapper Kanye West purchased a home in LA for $20 million and it’s now worth $60 million, as per People magazine.

“Everything in my house is really minimal. I find that there’s so much chaos out in the world that once I come home I want it to be really quiet and I want everything to feel calming,” Kardashian told Vogue magazine during a tour of her home.

As Kardashian’s home is so luxurious, it’s understandable she’s set a few guidelines in place to ensure that its ‘calming’ vibe remains. So let’s check out the house rules:

1. Don’t get the white furniture dirty

Kardashian’s ‘favourite room in the house’ is the living room – it’s a space entirely adorned in pristine white.

Dominating the expansive area is a colossal circular sofa bedecked with an impressive array of over 20 cushions.

So it comes as no surprise that Kardashian wants to keep this place spotless – which means her four children are forbidden from playing in this room.

Kardashian and her ex-husband share daughters North, 10, and Chicago, 5, and sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4.

The SKIMS owner revealed in her former blog: “Our home decor taste tends to be minimal and modern but the kids’ playroom is the one room in the house where I let them run wild.

“That’s where all the markers, paints, and colours are… By the time they’re done there, they have no desire to take a pen to our white furniture, lol!”

2. Guests aren’t allowed to take photos inside the home

Originally, Kardashian ruled that anyone who entered her home was not allowed to take photos and share them with the public – this even included the Keeping Up With the Kardashians camera crew.

However, this rule was broken by Kanye West after he reportedly shared three now-deleted photos of their home on X (formerly known as Twitter).

At the time Kardashian tweeted: “Ummm babe. We had a rule to not show our home on social media!

“Soooo can we now allow KUWTK filming in the home?”

Since this incident, Kardashian has allowed camera crews inside her home and has shown off glimpses of the property on social media.

3. Phones aren’t allowed at the dinner table

Kardashian has a strict no phones present rule when it comes to having dinner around the table.

The reality star appeared at the Beautycon 2018 convention and explained why, saying: “If you get a phone call… and you guys are all eating dinner together, never get up and leave and take the call or take it at the table because if you do you’re showing your kids that this phone call is more important than them.”

The former KUWTK star apparently confiscates her children’s phones before they all sit down to eat. She then promises to give the phone back in the morning after they share a family breakfast.

4. Guests must sign an NDA

Every single one of Kardashian’s guests is reportedly required to sign a non-disclosure agreement, committing to keeping all conversations within the confines of the house confidential.

A source close to RadarOnline says: “Kim’s not very popular with a lot of her kids’ friends’ moms, because she’s so paranoid about even having a basic conversation with them.”

It was added that while Kardashian has this in place, she hardly ever invites people in her home who aren’t family or close friends.

5. No jewellery on display

Following Kardashian’s terrifying Paris robbery in 2016, the SKIMS owner ruled that no flashy or pricy jewellery should be out on display in her home.

She reportedly put this in place so her home doesn’t become a target to thieves.

TMZ reported at the time: “The very few pieces of jewellery that Kim does still own are being stored elsewhere – under constant supervision – with very elaborate security measures to get to it.”

While on the KUWTK reunion in 2021, Kardashian revealed: “No expensive items ever come to my home. I have it all taken from security before I even enter my home.

“I can’t sleep if I have jewellery in my safe, or money, or anything at my house. I just don’t live my life like that.”
