Eva Evan’s cause of death has been confirmed following her tragic passing aged 29. 

Evans was a New York City-based influencer, best known for having directed and starred in the Amazon Prime TV miniseries Club Rat.

She boasted a strong social media following, with over 300,000 TikTok followers.

But now, Evans’ cause of death has been confirmed by authorities.

Evans not only co-wrote but also directed and starred in the miniseries Club Rat.

The five-episode streaming series tells the story of Eva, who has to re-enter the rocky terrain of the New York City dating scene after a video of a messy breakup goes viral.

Evans collaborated with major brands, such as Dior, Gucci, Nike and Apple.

She also worked with celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Julia Fox.

News of Evans’ passing was shared by her sister Lila, who wrote: “Please share this post so that it reaches everyone it needs to.

“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died.

“After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.”

She continued: “We will be holding a celebration of Eva this coming Tuesday, 4/23, in the evening in lower Manhattan. Please DM me so I can get a headcount and will share the details.

“I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t.

“I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.”

The heartfelt post concluded: “All my love, Lila.”

People have taken to social media and paid tribute on Evans’ final Instagram post, in which she’s pictured on the NYC subway.

“I’m in shock. She was a beautiful, kind, hilarious, sharp, witty, smart, funny, bright light,” one person writes.

Another adds: “Eva, noooo. You will be so so so missed. We all wanted/needed more of you and your time. My heart breaks for everyone around you, especially your family. I can’t believe this. Truly crushing.”

A third says: “New York lost a real one.”

Evans was found hanging in her apartment on Saturday evening by a friend who had a key to her apartment, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

The friend reportedly told police they didn’t know the TikTok star to be struggling with her mental health.

When paramedics arrived, they sadly pronounced Evans dead at the scene.

A TMZ source reports that there were no unusual injuries and there was no sign of a struggle. It was also alleged that Evans left a note behind.

Although Evans appears to have taken her own life, the official toxicology report is still pending.

The influencer’s father, Matt Baumgardner, passed away aged 63 in 2018. Evans disclosed in a personal story with Don’t Mind Me that her father had died by suicide.

Evans is survived by her sisters Lila, Zoe and Sofi, and her mother Heather, per E! News.
