Kim Kardashian, who wants to abolish the death penalty, has reportedly been left ‘disturbed’ by Caitlyn Jenner’s recent tweets about prison reform.
The Olympic gold medalist, 71, responded to a post on Twitter about a seven-month-old baby who had been murdered by a man. Allegedly, the criminal has already been released from prison twice this year.
Retweeting the post, Jenner slammed the US prison system and said ‘enough is enough’.
She penned: “Gavin’s district attorneys across California are releasing criminals back onto our streets. Enough is enough.”
But according to TMZ, Kardashian, who is training to be a lawyer, is ‘disappointed’ by her views.
Apparently, the pair have had plenty of private conversations about prison reform over the years, but this public outburst has left the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star feeling let down.
Jenner’s tweet comes after her announcement that she’s running to be the governor of California.
The transgender activist, who is a Republican, announced the move in a statement.
It read: “California has been my home for nearly 50 years.
“I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality. But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by a one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people.
“Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”
The reality TV star is believed to have hired Steven Cheung, who has worked for former president Donald Trump, reports Axios.
Many have argued that Jenner’s celebrity status could be deemed a drawback. But others have said it may work to her advantage.
