Her inclusion is a testament to the impact of her company, SKIMS, which has amassed eight million followers on TikTok and an impressive 350 million on Instagram.
For the captivating cover, Time magazine showcases Kim’s iconic curves by dressing her in a figure-hugging black SKIMS-inspired bodysuit, complimented by black gloves and a leather maxi skirt with intricate cutouts and buckles.
Her sleek hair is styled straight, and she wears natural-looking makeup with a touch of rose gold on her lips.
Despite achieving immense success with her shapewear company, which launched in 2019 and is valued at $3.2 billion in 2022, Kim remains modest.

She expresses a sense of accomplishment, saying: “I feel like, OK, I did it.”
The inspiration for creating a shapewear brand came from her own experiences and needs.
“It started off with simply finding shapewear that was a skin tone that would match my colour,” she explains.
“I used to take my shapewear and dye it with tea bags and coffee in the bathtub.”
She even modified her undergarments by cutting off one leg to enable wearing dresses and skirts with high slits.
These personal challenges became the foundation for SKIMS, which now offers a diverse range of offerings in ten different shades.
As the largest shareholder of the company, Kim has expanded SKIMS to include loungewear, knickers, bras, and is set to launch a new line of gym wear.
She also reveals plans to introduce men’s loungewear and male-friendly shapewear in the future.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Kim serves as the shape model for SKIMS and spends hours each week trying on the products, estimating that she has tried on around 7,000 garments since the company’s inception.
Kim’s drive and ambition gas led her to establish two additional ventures – SKKN, a skincare line, and SKKY, an investment company.
While she acknowledges that there is a ‘time stamp’ on her career as an influencer, she is determined to keep pushing forward.
Kim confesses to experiencing imposter syndrome, but she believes it is part of what fuels her progress.

Kim shared an endearing story about North introducing her to the music of Ice Spice, which later inspired a SKIMS campaign featuring the young hip-hop artist.
Despite a minor controversy when North uploaded a video rapping along to explicit lyrics, Kim stands by her daughter’s creativity and continues to support her artistic endeavours.
In her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband rap legend Kanye West, Kim emphasises the importance of compromise and finding common ground for the sake of their children’s well-being.
While disagreements may arise, Kim remains dedicated to protecting her children while nurturing their creativity.
